Refusal of Unauthorized Email Collection
We prohibit the unauthorized collection of email addresses posted on this website using email collection programs or other technical devices. Please note that violations may result in criminal penalties under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (hereinafter "Information and Communications Network Act").
Newbiewa (hereinafter "Company") complies with personal information protection regulations under relevant laws, including the Information and Communications Network Act, that information and communication service providers must adhere to. The Company has established a Privacy Policy in accordance with applicable laws to protect users’ rights and interests to the fullest extent.
Chapter 1: Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information
Personal information refers to information about a living individual that can identify the individual through details such as their real name (including information that, while not sufficient on its own, can be easily combined with other information to identify a specific individual). The Company collects and uses personal information for the following purposes:
Provision of Membership Services:
Identity verification, personal identification, provision of age-restricted services, confirmation of intent, verification of membership status, restriction of re-registration, handling inquiries and dispute resolution records, confirmation of membership withdrawal, delivery of announcements, and measures to restrict malicious users.
Fulfillment of Contracts through Brokerage Services:
Payment for items and delivery of prizes or goods.
Marketing and Advertising:
Development and specialization of new services, provision of services and advertisements based on demographic characteristics, analysis of access frequency, statistics on members’ service usage, and delivery of promotional information such as events. (The Company does not provide members’ personal information to individuals or organizations requesting advertisements.)
Chapter 2: Items of Personal Information Collected and Collection Methods
[Items of Personal Information Collected]
Initial Membership Registration:
To identify members and provide optimized services, the following information is collected:
Mandatory Items: Name, ID (account), date of birth, address, email address, contact number (mobile phone), password, i-Pin number, gender, connection information (CI/DI), authentication value, IP address, Android Advertising ID, installed applications, and information essential for using Newbiewa services.
Items to verify adulthood, such as resident registration number, for payment purposes.
Simplified Login:
Mandatory Items: Name, email address, mobile phone number, gender, date of birth, identity verification value (CI).
Retained until the purpose is achieved.
However, if retention is required by other relevant laws, the information is retained until the end of the specified period.
Modification of Personal Information:
For user convenience, members may voluntarily provide the following information:
Copy of identification document verifying personal information, ID, email address, fax number, phone number.
Service Use, Event Participation, or Other Business Processes:
The following information may be generated and collected:
Real name, real-name authentication value, gender, date of birth, address, phone number, payment method information (e.g., bank/credit card details), service usage records, access logs, cookies, access IP information, payment records, records of malicious use, user status information, visit date and time, device unique identifier (Device ID or IMEI for mobile use).

The Company collects personal information through methods such as membership registration forms, service usage, event participation, and other interactions with the website or application.
Chapter 3: Retention and Use Period of Collected Personal Information
In principle, personal information is destroyed without delay once the purpose of collection and use is achieved. However, the following information is retained for the specified periods for the reasons outlined below:
Personal Information Retained Upon Membership Withdrawal:
Items Retained: Name, date of birth, gender, ID, password, phone number, mobile phone number, bank account number.
Basis for Retention: Prevention of re-registration by malicious users, resolution of disputes involving defamation or other rights violations, and cooperation with investigations.
Retention Period: 1 year after membership withdrawal.
Retention Required by Relevant Laws:
If retention is necessary under laws such as the Commercial Act or the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the Company retains member information for the periods specified below. In such cases, the information is used solely for the purpose of retention:
Records on Contracts or Subscription Withdrawals:

Retention Period: 5 years.
Records on Payment and Supply of Goods:

Chapter 4: Procedure and Method for Destruction of Personal Information
In principle, the Company destroys personal information without delay once the purpose of collection and use is achieved or the retention and use period expires. The destruction procedure and methods are as follows:
Destruction Procedure:
Information entered by members for purposes such as registration is stored for a certain period in accordance with internal policies and other relevant laws (see Retention and Use Period) after the purpose is achieved and then destroyed. Such personal information is not used for purposes other than those for which it is retained, except as required by law.
Destruction Methods:
Personal information printed on paper is destroyed by shredding or incineration.
Personal information stored in electronic file format is deleted using technical methods that prevent record recovery.
Chapter 5: Provision and Sharing of Personal Information
In principle, the Company uses members’ personal information only for the purposes of collection and use and does not disclose it to other individuals, companies, or organizations. However, the following cases are exceptions:
With Prior Consent of the User:
Before collecting or providing information, the Company informs the member about the identity of the business partner, the purpose of the information, why it is needed, and how it will be protected/managed until when, and obtains consent. If the member does not consent, no additional information is collected or shared with the business partner.
Under Legal Provisions or Investigation Purposes:
When required by law or requested by an investigative agency in accordance with procedures and methods prescribed by law.
Use and Provision Consistent with the Purpose of Use:
Providing applicant information to the relevant service registration provider for domain, keyword, or SSL registration.
Providing the contact information of a registrant involved in a dispute upon request by a dispute resolution body or court.
In cases of violation of the Terms of Service, other membership service terms, or operating principles used on the Company’s website.
When there is sufficient grounds to believe personal information must be provided to take legal action due to mental or material harm caused to others through the Company’s services.
When a government agency requests domain names and nameserver information to perform duties prescribed by relevant laws.
Using member information (name, address, phone number) for business-related communication.
Providing information in a form that does not identify specific individuals for purposes such as statistics, promotional materials, academic research, or market research.
Chapter 6: Entrustment of Collected Personal Information
The Company may entrust personal information to third parties to improve services. In such cases, the Company ensures necessary measures are stipulated and notified in accordance with relevant laws to safely manage personal information during entrustment contracts.
Chapter 7: Installation, Operation, and Refusal of Automatic Personal Information Collection Devices
To provide personalized and customized services to individual members, the Company uses "cookies" to store and retrieve member information as needed. A cookie is a small data packet sent by a server used to operate a website to a user’s browser and stored on the user’s computer hard disk.
Purpose of Using Cookies:
Analyzing the frequency and timing of visits by members and non-members, identifying user preferences and interests, tracking behavior, and providing targeted marketing and personalized services through analysis of event participation and visit frequency.
How to Refuse Cookie Settings:
Members have the right to choose whether to allow cookies. Members can configure their web browser to accept all cookies, confirm each time a cookie is stored, or refuse all cookies.
Example Setting Method (for Internet Explorer): Go to Tools > Internet Options > Privacy at the top of the web browser.
Note: Refusing cookies may make it difficult to use some services that require login.
Chapter 8: Technical and Administrative Measures for Personal Information Protection
[Technical Measures]
Members’ personal information is protected by passwords, and personal information data is safeguarded through separate security functions.
Passwords are managed to avoid easily guessable numbers like birthdays or phone numbers, with rules established and enforced for password creation by users and personal information handlers.
The Company uses antivirus programs and anti-malware software to prevent damage from computer viruses, with regular updates to such software.
The Company operates a separate firewall system to protect personal information systems.
Personal information is encrypted and stored in the Company’s personal information protection system. When transmitting personal information outside the Company’s network or storing it on a PC, it is encrypted.
If necessary, the Company may entrust the management of customers’ personal information to specialized personal information protection companies for enhanced security.
[Administrative Measures]
In addition to the above efforts, members must take care to prevent their passwords from being exposed to third parties. Special caution is needed to avoid password leaks through PCs in public places. Members should use their IDs and passwords exclusively and change passwords frequently.
The Company complies with its IT management regulations, including:
Designating a personal information protection officer to ensure thorough management.
Training personal information handlers.
Maintaining and regularly reviewing access logs to personal information processing systems.
Implementing protective measures for printing and copying personal information.

Chapter 9: Rights of Users and Legal Representatives and How to Exercise Them
[Technical Measures]
Users may view or modify their registered personal information at any time and may request account termination. To view or modify personal information, users can go to “My Page” on the Company’s website and select “Edit Information.” For account termination, users can click “My Page > Withdraw Membership” and follow the identity verification process to view, modify, or withdraw.
Requests for viewing, modifying, withdrawing, or suspending the processing of personal information will be addressed within a maximum of 30 days, with the results notified to the user.

Chapter 11: Notification
If there are additions, deletions, or modifications to the content due to changes in laws, policies, or security technologies, the Company will notify users through the website at least 7 days before the changes take effect.

To protect youth from harmful information, the Company has established and implements a Youth Protection Policy in accordance with relevant laws to prevent those under 19 from accessing harmful content.

Refusal of Email Collection
No one shall use programs or other technical devices to automatically collect email addresses from an internet website that explicitly refuses such collection.
No one shall sell or distribute email addresses collected in violation of Paragraph 1.
No one shall knowingly use email addresses collected, sold, or distributed in violation of Paragraphs 1 and 2 for information transmission. (Violations may result in fines.)
